Presenter at the 2006 ASCA World Clinic and clinics in Japan, Mexico, Canada, Greece and the Cayman Islands. Reporter for Swimming World Magazine since 1986 with 12 cover stories in H2Open Magazine, Swim Channel, SWIMMER, Swimming World Magazine and Competitor Magazine. International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame inductee, Chief Administrator and Board Director. Race director for the Waikiki Roughwater Swim, USA Swimming National Championships and Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. Author of Open Water Swimming (Human Kinetics 2011), former FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee member and professional marathon swimmer. 1982 World Long Distance Swimming Champion (25 km), winner of 2 USA Swimming national open water swimming championships.  Completed 5 unprecedented marathon swims (between 28-58 km) in Asia. Open water swimming materials used by National Public Radio, USA Today, NBC Olympics, the Beijing Olympic Committee and USA Swimming.
