This is the first-ever cross-browser rendering of a #DICOM medical image that is fully implemented in C++ thanks to an innovative combination of the #WebAssembly technology and of the Stone of Orthanc!

Demo (make sure you use the latest version of your favorite Web browser to run it, e.g. Microsoft Edge 15, Mozilla Firefox 52 or Chromium 57): http://orthanc-server.com/external/wasm/hello.html

Osimis, the commercial partner of the free and open-source Orthanc project, now provides installers for Windows.

These installers are available both for Windows 32 and for Windows 64, and provide all the official plugins. The whole-slide imaging support is notably part of the package (including the OpenSlide library to deal with proprietary file formats).

As usual, the installers can be downloaded from the official homepage of Orthanc. #DICOM
