So why shouldn't there be a central meeting place for fans of historical fiction specifically focused on Ancient Greece? I can't think of any reason.

My favorite? Gates of Fire, no question. That book literally changed my view of what the genre could be, sending me on a spree to find books in mimicry of GoF. Would love to see it made into a movie - and don't tell me about 300. Good popcorn flick, but a seriously done GoF would be amazing.
