Historic restaurant with a view of the bay & Golden Gate Bridge serving Sicilian-influenced seafood.- Google
"2) Calamari Sicilian Style, spicy tomato sauce!"
"And it wasn't best clam chowder in that area."

had the lobster thermidor and was hands down the best lobster I have ever had. I don't know if that's how you spell it either. my wife had the rock fish and loved it, plus four glasses of wine and they took care of our son very well. Daniel was our server and did a great job. The price was a steal for what you get in flavor and views.

Have been eating at Alioto's for years, whenever in San Francisco. Yes it is tourist place, but the staff, management and most importantly the food is always delicious. Highly recommended!

Good quality but not much value. Service was good. Seems to take advantage of tourist crowd. Very over priced for what you receive.

Terrible restaurant. Salad was tiny and came without the blue cheese. When i told waitress she said thats how it is and walked off. Disgusting service, do not recommend.

Great view upstairs. Friendly staff. Food was barely worth the cost. Tiny cup of clam chowder was $7. Seriously? Bacon-wrapped trout had good flavor but too many bones for my liking. Not worth $20 in my opinion.

A bit of a disappointment. We had a private room for a business dinner and the A/C was either broken of working poorly. Also the bar they had for our group was very under stocked with choices and somewhat in quantity and the food was fine but not what I was expecting for the price. The one thing that I cannot get past is there was a bathroom directly across from our dining room that was clearly marked “Employees Only” so I asked the bartender if we could use it as it was extremely convenient to our room and he was very nice and accommodating and said of course. The problem was that this bathroom was really bad. It was dated, dingy and did not look or feel very clean. Whether we were supposed to officially be using this bathroom or not I did not feel good about those whom were preparing my food using it. Therefore I would not return to this restaurant as there are way too many other choices nearby. Sorry Aliotos…

The people were nice enough, but I got a salad that looked like it came off if a taco toppings bar that had shrimp on it that could not have been from anything that even resembled fresh, more like generic watered down buffet salad toppings. Oh, and even though the staff was nice, it was awful sitting next to the open kitchen and watching the chefs eat all night while cooking. Who knows, maybe I caught them on an off day, but when a salad cost almost $20 I am at least expecting it to be green.

We loved this restaurant. The ambience Christmas decorations and lights was delightful. The food was excellent, I had oysters and scallops. The oysters were delicious they need to be more careful putting them on the ice oysters should still have the juice in them! The scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife enjoyed the little greens salad, and the fillet mignon, cooked exactly as she requested. It came with a risotto, which she thought a little odd but enjoyed it nonetheless. We were served almost immediately and 10 minutes later someone else came to take our order. We said that we had already been served. This was followed by a mix up as to who was serving and we had to call the waiter several times to get service.
