We got there on a busy Friday night. The wait was only about 15 minutes. We sat down and our waitress promptly took our drink order. We stayed with water as the drink prices are ridiculous...$4.50 for a soda with only 1 refill...alcohol was much more.... We were told there was no bread as they had just run out....yet surrounding tables kept getting it. When that was pointed out, we finally got some cold sourdough bread. We placed our orders....and waited. And waited. And waited. We were hungry so we flagged down a different waiter, since ours was no where to be seen, and order a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail arrived and it looked like 5 pieces of shrimp thrown onto a soggy lettuce leaf and with a lemon wedge. Horrible presentation. The cocktail sauce was decent. The table next to ours got seated after us, ordered and got all their food and ate all of it and yet we got nothing. We had the same waitress by the way. We pointed out to our waitress, when we finally saw her, we hadn't gotten our food yet and the other table was already served and done eating. She went to check on our order and came back with the standard, "it's almost done" excuse. I told her to tell the manager we were not happy. She leaves and comes back with an offer of free dessert. The manager didn't even have the balls to come to the table him/herself. After waiting over an hour for bread, water and a sad excuse for a shrimp cocktail, we declined their free offer of dessert and left. We will never go back. There are to many other places in the area that serve the same kind of food to ever give that place a second chance.

Very friendly waiter. Also had some nice recommendations for places to go in the evening. Food was delicious. You probably should eat fish or seafood.

The meal was great. My drink on the other hand was not made correctly even went back to be fixed the wait staff can use some improvement.

Outstanding customer service and fantastic food! Request Olivier, he is a master of his craft! I had the seafood cioppinio which was loaded with seafood. My wife had the Lemon chicken with pasta. Finished dinner off with tiramisu. All were great! Great View, Great Food, Great People!

Had the Cajun Crab. The Crab was delicious and fresh. But the cajun style curry was horrible. It was so salty that I felt like puking. It was absolutely inedible. When spoke with manager, she said that's how they make cajun crab with excessive salt and offered to serve a new one but she said that even the next one will be salty. Unbelievable. They actually feel proud to serve inedible meal. The restaurant was classy and good atmosphere. The clam chowder was delicious. Do not order the Cajun Crab there.

The food was not very good. It was pricey with well dressed and kind staff but the food was not good..also this is a bad neighborhood..me and my fiancé had our rental car broken into and all of our luggage and thousands of dollars in wine stolen from our car and about 15 other cars on the same block had the same thing hapen..the area was well lit and a block from the restaurant and in front of the Hyatt and the holiday Inn and suites..the police said they wouldn't do anything bc San Francisco is going through an unprecedented crime spree since he passing of proposition 47 has allowed otherwise felonies like breaking and entering car jacking robbing a misdemeanor and only if the criminal has committed violent or sexual based offenses they go free within a day and pay a fine

We have always looked forward to our trips to San Francisco because we knew that before the weekend (Friday & Saturday) our reservations were already made. Something just changed on this last trip. On our first night, we always celebrate by having Lobster Thermidor, a real nice bottle of wine and creme brulee for dessert. This time my husband and I were both taken back of how the attention and detail had been lost....made me feel like we were eating in a chain restaurant instead of a family owned and family tradition. What happened???? The Lobster Thermidor looked like it was old and they just put it under the broiler to heat it up and......dry it out. The creme brulee did not have a crisp, glazed crust to break through before you have the custard....I thought that was part of the creme brulee??!!! What happen to presentation Alioto's?? $200.00 plus and this is what we got. Disappointing

We waited over 45 mins for our prawn cocktail, when it arrived it was merely a lettuce leaf filled with prawns, a lemon slice and tomato ketchup as a dipping sauce. As soon as we had finished this was whisked away as our entrees were served. My risotto was watery and tasteless, the three fish combo arrived served on salty mash nothing else on the plate. Extremely disappointed as we had looked forward to a good fish meal in San Francisco. Couldn't wait to leave.
