This Artwork of the Week belongs to Dustin Freeman. You’re looking at a 24”x32” Barnwood Frame.

Dustin tells us, “It was a late season thunderstorm by Boissevain, Manitoba. I was out storm chasing that day and saw those horses beside the road, so I had to stop to take their picture with the approaching storm behind them. They gave me about two minutes to capture a pic before they ran off for shelter.” You can find Dustin on Twitter, https://twitter.com/DusterMB, as well as on Instagram, www.instagram.com/dustermb/.

Posterjack Barnwood Frames are beautifully handcrafted and rich with texture. They’re the perfect blend of elegance and raw style. The gorgeous wood texture makes them an ideal choice to showcase your favourite photos. www.posterjack.ca/barnwood-frames.php

This Artwork of the Week belongs to Ashleigh Long. You’re looking at a 16”x24” Canvas Print (which just so happens to be on sale right now!).

Ashleigh tells us, “This photo was one of our engagement photos taken by the very talented Lolo & Noa Photography (https://www.facebook.com/loloandnoaphotography/). We are both originally from the mountains but currently live in the prairies and missing home so we both agreed we needed to get married in the mountains! This photo was taken at beautiful Moraine Lake in Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains, not far from where we will be married this summer after being engaged for five years! It was originally planned to be a fall photoshoot with all the beautiful colours surrounding the lake, however mother nature decided not to cooperate and caught us in a blizzard on our eight-hour drive to the Rockies. Our photographers were suggesting we cancel the shoot as there was supposed to be another intense blizzard the next morning when our photos were scheduled but we decided to chance it and go for it anyways and they turned out PERFECT! There was a light dusting of snow covering the mountains, the lake wasn't frozen yet so you can still see the beautiful blue colour of the water and it was lightly snowing during the shoot to give it a very romantic setting. It was freezing cold but well worth it. Our plan is to get our guests to sign our photo at our wedding so we have a beautiful piece to hang on our wall surrounded by the messages of all our family and friends.”

Posterjack Canvas Prints are hand-stretched, made in Canada, and printed using our proprietary photo enlargement technology and world-class printers. You can learn more about them and make your own Canvas Print here: www.posterjack.ca/canvas.php

This Artwork of the Week belongs to Mitch Olsen. You’re looking at a 12”x18” Gallery Box.

Mitch tells us, “I use photography as a path of expression through my struggles with mental health. I’ve always felt a deep connection to Mother Nature and it allows me to capture her emotion and beauty. Nature constantly reminds me to stay grounded, allows me to be free, and I often take hikes as a method of self care. Here I sit with my thoughts overlooking the beautiful North Okanagan Valley outside of Armstrong, B.C.. This piece is captioned ‘I’m never lost in the mountains, it’s where I found myself.’ Art and nature have been important through my journey, to help open communication and to continue the discussion of mental health." Mitch goes on to say, "Posterjack never disappoints! Simple online ordering, great product selection and awesome people!” You can see more of Mitch’s photos by visiting his Instagram account, https://www.instagram.com/Timberjack740/.

This Artwork of the Week belongs to Marie-Jo Plamodon. You’re looking at a 12”x24” Metal Print.

Marie-Jo tells us she captured this photo in June 2015, “In Leipzig, Germany—where Johann Sebastian Bach spent most of his life and where he is buried—overlooking a bicycle parking just behind the University of Leipzig (Universitat Leipzig - the second oldest university in Germany). Most people cycle in Leipzig and it was just amazing to see so many bikes next to each other. I could not resist trying to do something a bit artsy with the scenery.”

Posterjack Metal Prints are lightweight, fade-resistant, and extremely durable – perfect for both indoor and outdoor décor. You can create your own modern metal wall art here: www.posterjack.ca/metalprints.php

This Artwork of the Week belongs to Derek Vinge. You’re looking at a 20”x30” Canvas Print.

Derek tells us, “Located on Vancouver Island, Mount Washington Alpine Resort is a hidden gem 30 minutes from the Comox Valley and Pacific Ocean. The photo was a last minute capture of the Nordic trails at the top of ‘The Grind’, a legendary hill climb. I wanted to put this experience in my office as a large canvas form with the mirrored edges to make it feel like I was in mountains. The picture is for my Sports Medicine clinic and I want to live in an example for my patients in always keeping an active life.” You can check out more of Derek’s photos on Instagram, www.instagram.com/da_vinge/.

This Artwork of the Week belongs to Magee Walker. You’re looking at a 12”x12” Gallery Frame.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for her sister and brother-in-law, Magee tells us, “The picture is of their Golden Retriever, Fable. For their Christmas gift, I coordinated a pet photo shoot — not an easy feat, given that I live across the country! Luckily, my parents were there to help organize everything. The photographer I hired, Tracy Munson (http://tracymunsonphotography.com/), did a great job of capturing Fable's personality in Toronto's Monarch Park. We timed the shoot to take advantage of Ontario's beautiful fall colours — I’d say we nailed it! She originally sent this photo as a teaser outtake, but I loved it so much that it's one of the four I picked to get framed.” Magee has a blog you can check out here: https://squamishoutofbounds.wordpress.com/

Available in various sizes and colours, Posterjack Framed Prints are made from solid wood, low-glare framers acrylic, and acid-free mat board. And, of course, they're made in Canada. If you love what you're looking at, you can create your own masterpiece here: www.posterjack.ca/framedphotos.php
