COMPANY DESCRIPTION
A well-known company in the financial industry is seeking a software configuration manager to help them with build/release engineering in Salt Lake City

JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate must possess strong technical capabilities and knowledge of Software Configuration management practice and principles to accurately and efficiently control code builds, update versions, and deliver final code for deployment to production environments.

This position will be developing application release automation to promote software to production environments. Will also provide management support and control of changes to all development and production environments. This function includes identifying the software components, controlling changes to them, recording and reporting component configuration status, and conducting audits and reviews
Provide "deploy and configuration management solutions" enterprise wide.
Coordination with various stakeholders – product engineering/solutions teams, infrastructure support teams and other tool owners to come up with target automated technical architecture
Technical Documentation of all tasks
Define clear modular deliverables to get the development completed
Should be able to implement, maintain and review the automation architecture for a given middleware product

QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years IT experience for design, development, integration and building of various administrative, automation tools/components of cutting-edge Middleware infrastructure
Minimum 3 years’ experience in enterprise level Information Technology projects.
Experience requested with Open source where feasible: Application development, ALM, Build,
Deploy, Change / Release, Monitoring, architecture and product engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of industry-standard technologies (e.g. Java/J2EE,Weblogic, .Net, Websphere, JBOSS, ANT, LDAP, JDBC, Clustering, JIRA) Configuration and scripting tools.
Strong knowledge of production server administration support (Hands-on experience with BMC middleware automation, BMC Application Automation is highly preferred)
Experience writing middleware deployments using Command-line interfaces.
Experience in full software development (or software infrastructure) lifecycle in an enterprise environment with multiple middleware products integrations skills
Must have strong debugging skills at various tiers of a given application with multiple (App Code, J2EE, and DB) tiers to provide automated integrations
Strong background on the Unix with scripting (ssh, Shell, Perl, Python, Jython) with various platforms (AIX, Linux, Solaris and Windows) to understand and build administrative solutions
In-depth knowledge of J2EE technologies to build various enterprise application components such as ear, war, Web Services and DB objects
Hands on experiences with BMC RLM, BladeLogic Application and Middleware automation tools is will be a plus
Non-Technical Skills:
Excellent documentations/communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to articulate technical opinions to large audience with various skill levels.
Must be able to function within teams as a team player.
Independent worker with ability to work with multiple teams and individuals to create best solutions.
