Best authentic Cantonese food in Portland This is old school won ton noodle soup, Peking duck, BBQ pork, chow mein and "jook." Delicious..if I still lived in the Pearl district I would do takeout here everyday. What makes my review credible? I am 100% Chinese American, born and raised in Los Angeles on my grandmother's awesome and authentic Cantonese cooking and In N Out Burger. Oh, and I lived in China for 2 years, but that's another story for another day...

We ordered the soup, salt and pepper prawns, and one other dish. Worst Chinese food we have ever had. The soup tasted like it had been marinated in socks. BAD. We were ill afterwords. So grossed out that we walked down to Voodoo donuts to take the bad taste out of our mouth. While we were waiting to order the server was taking a quick nap on the counter.

The soup here is amazing. I've yet to try anything else but I've heard good things from friends.

Gross and ghetto. I only took a few of of this so called "best wonton soup around portland" and it tasted bland and funky. Whoever believes that this soup tastes good has a very abstract palette

I've been here twice, once in 2012 and once in 2014. I really enjoyed the food both times.

My go-to Chinese restaurant when I worked in downtown (still is when I decide to visit downtown for lunch with some old friends). Home-styled Chinese cooking. A bit cramp and quite a long wait when they are busy, but we still go back just because of the good food.

The dry noodle dishes are not good at all, some of the others may be good though. The soup tasted like old dishwasher water. My wife could not even take more then 2 bites of the foods, and they would not allow her to switch dishes.
