Anything Goes  -

One of my favourite photos I've taken so far this year.
Almost complete accident that I captured this one. It felt like the sort of photo Henri Cartier-Bresson might have taken, so I opted for black and white and I really like it; probably even more so because of its odd composition.

Very pleased with how this turned out, as I was nowhere near the rest of the photographers at this event.
I was sat off to the side and got some really interesting shots from this fashion show (which I was attending to see my brother's collection). The lights were really well positioned so you could get both back lighting and front lighting in the same spot. This headgear really reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog in his 'super' incarnation.

It was almost a great photo but for that one damn blade of grass. I guess I could edit it out, but I'll always know it was there.

Today's PoTD is one of my personal favourites, by Philip K.

Talibe are children in Quranic schools in Senegal. They are often mistreated and are forced to beg on the streets for their religious "leaders".

The kettle helmet is one of the oldest and most practical helmet designs; so named because you could cook your dinner in it. This design of helmet existed from the medieval period right through to World War II.

Well this is spectacular
It took four years but I finally got it. A rotating supercell. And not just a rotating supercell, but one with insane structure and amazing movement. I’ve been visiting the Central Plains sin...

Rediscovered this shot I took years ago whilst importing my old RAW files.

Warning: entrails.
It's a tad gorey, but whilst going through my old photos I found this one which I'd somehow completely missed back when I took it. The deer was unfortunately hit by a car; the keepers noticed on their way to the park and grabbed it for a rather interesting wolf feeding. I have a few more from this set lying around which I'll also upload soon.

Yet another inca tern! These guys are really lively and great to photograph when you can get somewhat close to them.
