A friend of mine put this up on this on fb, sharing the fun. I just love looking at Joe Cocker when he sang. Now I know what he was saying.
+Ken Starks thought of you immediately when I saw this. :)

Oh No! My Internet Security is Damaged !!! My Firewall Blocked My TCP Connection !!!
Look at all those scary .SYS and .dll files that are Damaged !!! I better log in to the "Court of competent jurisdict" with my banking credentials.
But wait! look at my window decorations. They weren't coded in Redmond. And is a SCSI Port really a thing?
LOL. I haven't seen one of these in a bunch of years. Must have been because I was going through decade old links in my bookmarks. That site's security must be top notch.

This is really starting to drive me nuts. Who knows how to turn off the "Adjust table row" tooltip that ALWAYS pops up on EVERY table your mouse is over in Writer?
Turning it off is not in the General options. I tried looking in Options > LO > Advanced > Expert Configuration but I didn't find it in there or at least didn't recognize it.

The Christmas present I've been looking forward to has arrived. Can't wait to do the upgrade to Kubuntu 16.10 and run the 3D Nand sweetness. Wonder how much better than a 6 year old OCZ it is. Guess I'll find out soon.

The Muffin is coming . . .

I'm seriously liking what LibreOffice is doing with the dated toolbars. The rejection of the one-ui-to-rule-them-all concept is very welcome IMHO. Something for everyone, even a ribbon.
And for the devs who work on LibreOffice: if you ever find yourself around New York City, especially a little west of it, look me up and I'll buy you a beverage.

I've got a design question for web developers more experienced than I.
I'm making a website for a client and 3 pages need to pull from an rss feed so they're php pages. The header and footer are the same for every page on the site so I got the idea to make a header.php and a footer.php and use the php include statement to pull them in everywhere. Now any changes my client wants are done once and visible across the whole site. I like that I don't have to make the same changes on every page when things are changing due to user feedback in the development stage. I like the modular approach too but that may be me carrying my preferences from other oop languages I know.
My question is: Is this a good design choice to keep when the site goes live or should I make the header & footer plain html? Are there any 'gotchas' to look out for?
Thanks

Still looking for the macro command to run a macro on document open in the help. Took me a while to find it. Not trying to be a jerk but why is this not in the command line help? This is basic for a workflow's automation. Do I need to submit a bug report to get this added or is it in the works?

format: "soffice FileName macro:///Path.to.Macro"
So an example to open a spreadsheet and execute a macro named Startup would be:
"soffice MyFile.ods macro:///Standard.Module1.Startup"

Just received my hand-crafted and fully tax deductible Christmas wreath that I bought from +Reglue. I was originally going to get the one in the picture from the link below but after some talking to Ken, his significant other offered to make one for me in the exact color scheme I was looking for. Thank you significant other! This one looks fantastic.

If you don't know about Reglue, they provide refurbished +Linux computers to disadvantaged children. A worthy cause in my book.

Get one for yourself today and help spread some computing freedom.

Pretty much just finished my first Windows 10 install for a client(the first one that actually wanted it - lol). Just some small tweaks left to do. I was back in the Windows 7 mindset when I clicked on the 'search for updates' button and got a reality check. Only 6 updates, not 478.
Now what will I do for the next 3 hours?
