Well, thank god they have an image of two people jumping into a lake so I really understand what this new phone is all about.

God I hate stock photography sometimes.
Moto X is no longer a rumor, Motorola's CEO announced it in May. "Moto X will be built in a 500,000-square-foot facility outside of Fort Worth, Texas, that was previously used to build Nokia phones. Seventy percent of manufac...

I don't understand the "the first smartphone that you can design yourself" bit?  I suppose it's going to offer more options than a typical smart phone?  I hope it's not as gimmicky as it sounds...  Despite that and the questionable picture choice, I love the idea of tech being built in the USA again.  I hope it works out and others follow suit.

Update

Hangouts, phone calls and Google Voice

Thanks for all of your feedback on last week's Hangouts launch. I wanted to quickly talk about 1) making/receiving phone calls in Gmail, and 2) Google Voice support more generally.

1) Today's version of Hangouts doesn't yet support outbound calls on the web and in the Chrome extension, but we do support inbound calls to your Google Voice number. We're working hard on supporting both, and outbound/inbound calls will soon be available. In the meantime, you can continue using Google Talk in Gmail.

2) Hangouts is designed to be the future of Google Voice, and making/receiving phone calls is just the beginning. Future versions of Hangouts will integrate Google Voice more seamlessly.

First, we were outside on the deck at Wahoo's. The food is OK, not amazing. The location is incredible, and a gorgeous place to just sit out and enjoy the view. I have been here probably four times, and almost every time the service has just been atrocious. Last night I went for my 5 year anniversary and it was the worst I ever had. Waited 45 minutes for a bottle of beer. My wife's meal was brought out as her appetizer. The server never stopped by to check on us to see if things were needed. All three tables around us just started going to the bar to buy their drinks. Overall if you were just going to the bar to get a pricey drink I would recommend it for the atmosphere and live music, but it seems like the quality here has really gone downhill. Drinks used to be strong and good, now they are very watered down.

Very nice course - recommend going early in the morning in the summer as it gets awfully hot mid day!
