Impressive gains made for the people...

UAE ranked first globally for 2 consecutive years in Official Development Assistance given as a percentage of GNI according to OECD. A truly humanitarian capital & a global relief hub, UAE’s Official Development Assistance reached around USD 5 Bn in 2014 according to OECD. Our aid is not conditional, and we do not expect anything in return. UAE only wants stability for all people.

From Brazil!  One of my favorite publishers from a lovely country!  Also, there are so many nice Brazilian readers, with whom I stay in touch.  So nice to see this about the book I wrote about Maryam Khail, an Afghan woman who had a most tragic life when her beautiful baby boy was stolen.  It is the story of her life, and her quest to find her son...

Today I participated in discussion sessions covering @NoorDubai’s strategy for coming years.  Since its launch @NoorDubai has prevented & treated more than 23 million eye disease cases in world.  Next goal is to double these numbers.  Helping restore the eyesight of fellow human being is a truly noble deed. I invite everyone to be part of this great humanitarian mission.

Yes, I'll do better to curb certain habits that help to support this kind of agony and harm to other living creatures who love their little lives just as we love ours...  Thanks for this...

When I first went to live for 12 years in Saudi Arabia in 1978, no one could imagine that over thirty years would pass and STILL, women would be forbidden to drive.  Yet, there is hope as Saudi women AND men are waking up and addressing issues no one would have dared speak about.  I feel proud of them all, and so very hopeful!

What a night that was!  I had lost my voice due to a terrible cold and was trying to get the point across about women in Saudi Arabia.  Actually, it was great fun and Bill Maher was a marvelous host and I really liked the way he handled his show.  So sorry he is no longer doing this network show, which most all enjoyed, although he does have a show on cable...

Do you now see or incredibly biased you was? Looking back at the chaos that errupted throughout the middle-east - are you proud of your words of back in 2001?

I LOVE the expression on the doggie's face.  She/he LOVES to exercise and to share with its human companion this experience.  Dogs are such special little creatures...

Story
Tagline
American writer who had enjoyed traveling the world, visiting over 60 countries and coming to know so many marvelous people.
Introduction
I grew up in a small town in Alabama, always curious about the rest of the world.  This curiosity drove me to accept a job in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, living there from 1978-1992.  I traveled the world enjoying many unusual adventures.  After settling in Atlanta, Ga., I started my writing career.  You can read about my heroines in the ten books I have written.  The Rape of Kuwait; Princess; Princess Sultana's Daughters, Princess Sultana's Circle, Ester's Child, Mayada: Daughter of Iraq; Growing up Bin Laden; For the Love of a Son.  Now I'm working on AMERICAN CHICK in SAUDI ARABIA as well as SQUIRREL ON MY HEAD and PUPPY IN MY POCKET.  Hope you get to read some of my books as I concentrate mainly on the people and the cultures where I have lived and learned so much.  I'm the lucky one!
