Schiller International University is pleased to announce a lecture from Her Excellency Grace Asirwatham, the Deputy Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapon (OPCW) on Wednesday, February 19, 7:00 p.m. at DAI Heidelberg, Sofienstraße 12, 69115 Heidelberg, Germany.
The largest intergovernmental organization next to the United Nations, the OPCW was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2013 for “for its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons”. Ambassador Asirwatham will speak on the work of the organization and field questions from the audience.

SIU Heidelberg would like to extend an invitation to our annual Winter Masquerade Ball at the glamorous Print Media Lounge in Heidelberg.
For 48 years now, our Winter Ball has become a traditional and beloved meeting place for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.
This year the ball will take place Friday evening, December 13th, 2013. Cocktail hour starts at 7 pm.
Students can purchase tickets from the Student Government; Faculty, Staff and Guests please contact the Assistant to the Director.

Celebrating our 50th Year of International Education, Schiller International University Heidelberg presents in cooperation with the Deutsche Amerikanische Institut (DAI) a six-part lecture series in International Relations and Diplomacy.
Join us on October 14, 2013, 8 p.m. at the DAI (Sofienstr. 12) as His Excellency Dr. Zlatko Bars-Dimitroff speaks about “Reforming the UN Security Council”.
