Linkedin hack that might help some of you marketers. Another way to discover who has been on your website by embedding Linkedin cookie on your website. This is good if your ideal customer is already a connection on your Linkedin Account and if you are pursuing B2B marketing. The only requirement is that you have to have a Premium Linkedin Account. It is worth checking out if you already have a Premium Linkedin Account.

For those who are asking whether this still works, the answer is YES. But linkedIn patched this hack by hashing profile IDs. Once you get access to your profile ID, then you should be good to go. The issue is how do you get your ID?

Here's how:

THE EASY WAY:
1. Login to your LinkedIn account.
2. Copy and paste this link: https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view

Watch closely how linkedin redirects you to your profile.
Did you see the flash page that you were directed to before your were redirected to your profile? That flash page in the middle needs to be "Print Screened" as it contains your ID.

Your LinkedIn ID is no longer 8 digits. "id=98261032".
Your LinkedIn ID now is 39 chars long. "id=ABCABCEZK38BfRNjU_ODiUuF1B8BmaCy9im-yeU"

You don't need an authToken for this to work.


THE NERDY WAY :)
1. Login to your LinkedIn account.
2. Click Profile.
3. View Source (CTRL+U)
4. Search for "/profile/pdf?id=YOUR_LINKEDIN_ID_IS_RIGHT_HERE&
