Bay County, Florida: Everyone is welcome to come out June 27/28 for the Panama City Amateur Radio Club Field Day setup at the North Campus of Gulf Coast College on Hwy 2300 a couple of miles West of Hwy 77. The turn is just North of Southport at the Gulf Coast College sign. You can watch, learn, operate your choice. We especially like to get youth on the air. There is extra credit for that. Our radio setups are good practice for emergencies but we do it for fun. We will contact hundreds of similar setups across the USA and Canada. Our call-sign is W4RYZ.

We setup beginning at 7 AM on Saturday and start making contacts at 1 PM. At 2 PM we will give tests for Amateur licenses. At 5 PM we will have BBQ and fixings. For the general public coming by between 2 PM and 7 PM is a good time. There will be an information table just inside the front door. The building houses the Bay County Emergency Operations Center. There will be operators doing Morse code, digital modes and phone. They will be a station in a classroom and one outside on the Northwest corner of the building. There will be a plethora of antennas outside. So come see us we will still be going Sunday morning but we might start tearing down around 11 AM. This is the big event for the club and hope you can come. Please pass this invite along.
