I had never had sushi before and came here during happy hour. I absolutely loved my meal and had a blast hanging with friends while we ate. Not only was it cheap but the food was delicious and the setting was perfect for a fun and lively get together. I highly recommend the eel sushi.

Review based on a jazz performance. The seating arrangements for the jazz concert was odd, with no real discernible markings to indicate which seats are reserved or where seats are. The stage was perfect for the jazz trio, close enough to the audience for us to appreciate and be interactive. We had dinner elsewhere, but the drinks were good. For dessert, we had the rose sorbet and the watermelon sorbet, but delicious and perfect since the place seemed to be rather warm.

So lovely. I saw the Portland Cello Project. Get there early to get a good seat. Don't forget about the upstairs - it may have better views. Perfect date spot. Standard pricing on food/drink. Parking can be challenging.

This club is really nice, I honestly though it was very beautiful. I had a good time and it was pretty good to be in because it doesnt get too crowded, and it also doesnt get stuffy inside. It is very nice, and a good place to have a good time with friends.

Great jazz club with a nice setting like in the movies with a nice restaurant attached it - future is unclear as SF Jazz is stepping up its game in Hayes Valley but nonethless Make sure to try their different beers and great dinner options before the performance, it also gets you a reservation right in the best seats if you combine dinner and jazz gig

This is the perfect place to find the Funk. Yoshi's is a great venue. My peeps and I saw the 2nd show of George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars! It was one of the best stinkin' funk n soul sessions I have ever witnessed.

Pretty bad experience. The waitress was horrible. Mixed up the drink order. When we wanted to order more food she said I was going to tell you the kitchen is closed! Of course she never did. And to top it off, she missed one of the food orders and when we asked about our order she just said I am sorry, I didn't get it and the kitchen is closed.

Wow, this place was impressive! Yes, the food is a bit expensive, and given its landmark status, I was sort of expecting that it would underwhelm,. But no, it was absolutely outstanding! Especially the appetizers, like the brussel sprouts and pork jowl. And don't forget to save room for dessert; unlike most Japanese places, the desert here is fantastic--loved the "Breakfast in Tokyo!" (shiso flavored cream, as I recall!)
