Google generates these "stories" and this one turned out pretty cool. This is what was going on last week at +Industrial Luxury

Why yes, we ARE developing #lastmile   #iot  and #urbanart  combined functionality. We will be opening our backyard #workshop  and showroom soon! Oh yeah, #dataart
I post new showroom and studio stuff on Instagram and I archive it on Flickr.

This post is what +Industrial Luxury is working on now: A slew of smart art last mile applications that connect environmental data meshes to whoever gets it. #opendata #privacy #publicart

I love this photo for so many different reasons but aside from the visual punch this delivers, drought may be the most critical red flag we've been handed so far.

The concrete fountain can switch itself into calm-down-mode when no one is looking at it. Not only is this in good form, it also benefits in reduced pump wear and energy savings blah blah blah... We all need to use water smarter and not be a yard douche.

+Industrial Luxury makes things that can be monitored, recorded, #manipulated or accessed anywhere at anytime. Problem: It's fraught with security/privacy concerns which I am not anywhere near an expert on at this point. I recognize and acknowledge the risk so it's pretty locked down while I work on building it. Eventually, as robust systems evolve, they will inform us through UI #manipulation how to use them more securely. (think bank apps; acceptable risk)

Happy to be mentioned in this article about emerging resources for creatives in Denver! Looking forward to lots of creative engineering and design here at our little shop in the East Colfax district.

I post work in progress and final projects/installations on Flickr because I have been using that service since 2006 and it just works.

It's a Raspberry Pi that is wirelessly monitoring a water valve and if there is a problem, the Pi can go into spaz mode and do stuff to prevent a flooded yard or greenhouse. I'll keep banging my head on this code until I get it working because that's how I plan to learn this stuff. Then I'll post the project on Github etc.

This is probably over-thought, I know.
