The current forecast for Saturday is for mostly cloudy and a high of 45. Not our warmest Samhain, but not our coldest either. Remember that there will be a warm building available on-site if it gets bad.

For the afternoon ritual, all roles are open. We'll assign parts at the site.

For the evening ritual, we need folks for the following roles:

Outsiders
Purifiers and Portal Openers (all three)
Bardic Invocation
Archetypes
Ancestors
Nature Spirits

And remember to bring items representing your own Ancestors for their altar.

Other things we'll need for the weekend:

* Raffle items (just for the afternoon rite) and potluck food, as always. We're Pagans, so it's never too late for Halloween items!

* Speaking of food, don’t forget to bring a dish (and a story) for your own Ancestors for the Ancestor Supper, after the evening rite.

* Chairs or blankets for sitting.

* In the spirit of letting the lights of our Ancestors shine upon us (and also so we can see), bring candles, or jack o’lanterns, or any other light source really, since we do have electrical outlets at this site. Flashlights will be useful as well.

I hope to see you all this weekend!

Blessings,

Rob

The first harvest is behind us, the third harvest is ahead of us, but now is the time of the second harvest, when the fruit is ready to be picked from the tree and the vine!

(If you have fruits from your own garden that you would like to include in the offerings, please being them!)

Rodney will be leading this rite to honor Idunna, Norse goddess of apples and youth.

We still need folks to fill the following roles:

Outsiders
Ancestors
Nature Spirits

Folks should bring items for the raffle. Think fall-themed!

Same for the potluck. Think fall, only don't everyone bring donuts from a cider mill. Someone bring something savory, please! >8)

Don't forget to bring your own chairs if you can.

The current forecast says sunny and a high of 69, weather far more autumnal than we've been having lately!

I hope to see you all next weekend!

Blessings,

Rob

And the forecast for Sunday is coming up... 77 and scattered showers. We'll have a pavilion set up in case we need to hide from any raindrops.

We still need folks for the following ritual roles:

Outsiders
Purifiers and Portal Openers (all three)
Bardic Invocation
Allies
Mannanan
Archetypes
Ancestors

As always, we welcome raffle donations and potluck contributions. Think
summery picnicky things.

We recommend bringing your own chairs to the site.

I hope to see you all this weekend!

Blessings,

Rob

The current forecast is for 63 and sunny. Fingers crossed!

For the rite on Sunday, we still need folks for the following roles:

Outsiders
Purifiers (x3)
Bardic Invocation
Allies
Ana
Manannan
Archetypes
Ancestors

We also need a batch of cookies donated to use as lots for the drawing of the May King or Queen. Ideally homemade, but store-bought works.

As usual, we need potluck items for the food table, and raffle items for the raffle table. (Think spring!)

Bring your own chairs or blankets for seating, if possible.

I hope to see you all this weekend!

Blessings,

Rob

In our Grove’s cosmology, Ana is the daughter of Bel and Danu. Armed with her father’s knife and her mother’s song, she ended the long winter and brought the life back to the land. Feel free to adjust these prayers as needed to honor your own gods.

Current forecast for sunday is 36 and cloudy, so hopefully decent driving (or walking) to a warm indoor ritual.

We'll need the following roles filled:

Outsiders
Purifiers (all three)
Bardic Invocation
Allies
Manannan
Archetypes
Ancestors

If someone can bring a loaf of bread for the return flow, please let me know.

Donations of raffle items are welcome as always! Valentine's Day themed items are great, no matter what Gen thinks. >8)

Also don't forget the potluck. Since we're doing the rite indoors and have access to a microwave, feel free to bring things that need to be heated. Also, dairy foods are especially appropriate to this holiday.

Since there was no Brideog this year, but we still want to support our local food bank, we'll be accepting donations for Food Gatherers at the rite instead. Suggested items can be found at:
http://foodgatherers.org/?module=Page&sID=donate-food

We're also asking everyone to bring a length of yarn between twelve and eighteen inches in length to donate for the group offering. If you don't have any to bring, we'll have some for you to use, but this will give you a chance to select your own and bless it if you like.

I hope to see you all on Sunday!

Blessings,

Rob
