Tune in at 4pm EST for a google chat about academics and research at Duke.

We expect you may have some questions already about what life is like as a Duke student. To help answer your questions, we’ve scheduled five separate student-hosted chats to give you a chance to hear what life at Duke is like from students themselves.

The chat on March 30 at 4pm Eastern is focused on academics and research at Duke. Ask questions in the comments space. We'll see you then!
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Duke University. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

My summer in Cairo, Egypt with DukeEngage has ended and I have a summer full of memories to take home with me.

Even though I'm absolutely heartbroken over leaving these kids, I know they are in good hands at Ana el-Masry. I hope I was able to teach them a hundredth of what they taught me this summer. This is definitely an experience I will never forget.

America I'm comin' for ya!

After participating in a DukeLive chat on the elections in Egypt with +Duke University faculty from around the world, I wrote down a few of my comments and reflected further on democracy on the DukeEngage Cairo blog. Read my new post, "On Democracy in Egypt," here:

Check out today's #dukelive chat featuring my DukeEngage Cairo program director, Mbaye Lo, and +Duke University faculty from all around the world discussing the elections in Egypt. Me and another DE Cairo participant, Desmond Lee, also sat in on the chat and commented about our experiences witnessing democracy at work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-FI5WTyzBo&feature=player_embedded

Always something to remind me how proud I am to be a blue devil. Why do YOU need feminism?

The Duke student project Who Needs Feminism? has garnered international attention as people around the world chime in with their thoughts. Take a look at what people are saying on the project's Tumblr social media site.
