..as the inquisitor of all things Cupertino.

“... but law alone cannot make men see right.“ --JFK 6/11/1963

Just saw Parkland. Couldn't say if it's good, because the JFK assassination is such a tragedy, it is, 50 year later, still blood-curdling.
But it is refreshing that the movie is free of all the conspiracy-BS.

Thanks for the man on the moon Mr. President.
A new website celebrating the legacy of the JFK presidency. The flame still burns bright.

Randall Armor  has some nice reflections on PetaPixel to Dada, jeans and photography.
Including some videos about techniques used by Ansel Adams and Jerry Uelsmann.
Let me say this right at the outset. This is not another high and mighty rant against cell phone cameras, Instagram, "art" filters, Lightroom presets, etc.

Yep! Important vs. interesting - to balance it is the art.
For a long time I’ve felt like the only thing worth working on is the next most important thing. Why spend time working on something that’s less important if there’s something more important that needs work? I’ve changed my mind on this. It’s hard for an interesting thing to compete for your attention if your only criteria...

Personal vs Human Wave - interesting thought.
1. It's just hitting me now that in the new tech industry the person counts for nothing. It's the aggregate that matters. The human wave. 2. And that is the exact opposite of what interested me in tech. I got involved because of personal computers. The individual was/is everything.

Dustin Curtis (@dcurtis) wrote about Google Glass, if you interested in Glass, besides all the fanfare, then this opinion is worth a look.

#glass
The hardware looks much better in person than I expected. In fact, I would even say it looks good. The industrial design is solid, and though it is being manufactured in small batches, it has the build quality you might expect from something being mass-produced. I found this pleasantly shocking, especially considering Google’s history of lackluster attention to detail. Before you even turn it on, Glass feels like something from the future that is...
