The Sin of Pride in Homeschooling
"Let’s extend grace to one another and instead of jumping to the conclusion that our neighbor is wrong, let’s assume that the decisions they have made for their family have come with much prayer and discernment – just the same as ours."

Why in the WORLD would you Homeschool?
Read it now:
Pin it for later:
"Why in the world would you homeschool your children?" I understand the question. I really do.  In fact, this was a question I  uttered many years ago - although I think it went something like, "Why in the world would THEY want to homeschool their children? I could NEVER do that."  Ha. Life can be quite ironic. (Remember, we abandoned the public schools in 2009). People criticize what they do not understand, therefore homeschool...

ADVICE FROM homeschool student Cordell Smith
(age 14 at time of writing)
"Keep school fresh and exciting. Several ways to achieve this goal are going outdoors for school, serving scrumptious snacks, and incorporating fun science experiments with the family. My mom allows us to have class in a tree, on the bed, or on the porch. She serves cookie cutter sandwiches for lunch and lets my sister and I cook a surprise dessert or meal. Mom helped me construct a Civil War diorama and a model volcano. Creative ideas break up a monotonous day."
