I'm undecided about the ethical issues, but felt uncomfortable about why my stream seemed a bit strange and I was not surprised to eventually discover that Facebook might have been been tinkering.  The adverts are just odd, tempting me to play with settings as the targeted ads for my age group are irritating - though perhaps that is inevitable with any free apps.
