Sniky attempts to teach a beginners Blender class, week two!

On Thursday 6th December at 8.30pm GMT - which I believe is 12.30pm Second Life time, or Pacific Time, in the second Blender for beginners class, we'll be learning at how to bake uv textures from the cycles rendering engine, using nodes.

There are a few must-have pre-requisites:

In-world voice, you should ensure you can at least hear whats being said.

Firestorm version 5.0.11 (53634) as its required to see the Youtube Live stream media on a prim, inworld.

Please ensure you have Blender version 2.79b installed, so you can follow along with whatever we're doing, should you wish to.

The hypergridgrid URL is:

http://snikygrid.org.uk:8002:Sandbox

and the time is 8.30pm GMT or 12.30pm SLT or Pacific Time

I'll look forward to seeing you there

Sniky attempts to teach a beginners Blender class...

For some time now, I've had an incling to offer some guidance and support for those of you who would like to learn Blender and I guess its time for me to put my money where my mouth is, so....

On Thursday 29th of November at 9pm GMT - which I believe is 1pm Second Life time, or Pacific Time, I'll be attempting to offer a gentle introduction to creating, texturing and importing mesh from Blender into Opensim (or Secondlife).

I need a way of being able to strip all assets, inventory, prims, prim shape and prim inventory that belong to a single user, out of an opensim database. Essentially, anything that belongs or pertains to one particular user/avatar

Anyone know of a way to do this without exporting OARS and IARS and then importing them into a new database?

I'm immensely pleased to be able to announce that on the 14th October Pheonix Renfold and myself will be getting hitched (or more accurately re-hitched, as we were partnered in SL, some 8 years ago!).

After a short ceremony there will be music generously provided by DJ's Anna Tyme, Cataplexia and DJ Higher, helping to really get the party started.

The event is particularly auspicious one, as it also marks the 2nd birthday of the grid as well as Pheonix becoming co-grid owner too!

Please do feel free to come along and party with us, all are most welcome!
