Almost done my first solo story. One more page to go. (Plus cover etc, but YAY all the same)

The penultimate page of my first Bertram's Tales. Looks like things ae going to end well for Lazy Jack.
Hey, it looks like Jack is getting a happy ending! Pretty good for a guy who's only worked a week. I wanna get in on this type of retirement package. Of course he's never met his wife to be, but that's par for the course in arranged marriages. Come back in a week for the conclusion.

The baron comes to see what all the noise is.

What's all this then?!?
And why doesn't Google+ seem to get the featured image? Sigh. I assure you there is a new page of Lazy Jack at the end of that link.
Meet the Baron. Actually spent the time and did a character design for him before starting the page. And I kinda like how he turned out. As well, I did what I talked about last time and got to draw the daughter rolling on the floor laughing. Reflecting on it a day later though, ...

No preview today, stuff's bein weird and stuff. But trust me, there's a witch.
I have thought now and then about whether I should have had the narrator re-appear throughout the story. I think it would make it more expedient, allowing more of the telling to happen in less space. But then I get to a page like this, which is almost all narrator and I remember the comic ...

New comic day! And I ramble about working too quickly and trying to prepare for the next story while still drawing the current one.

Light at the end of the long hiatus.
Hello again! After nearly a year without a new Dressed for Success comic page we wanted to spread the news. Work is being done on picking things up where we left off and continuing on telling the story of our intrepid heroes Alex and Walter. As had been mentioned previously, I found myself in a ...

My first solo comic story in yeeeeaarrrs is done. Now what?

Today sees the end of Lazy Jack and news about what's next. (It's a happy ending...)
And that ends my tale. Well, my first one anyway. I've still got some work to do on it, some fixes I found after posting pages, things I wasn't happy with, text that got messed up with a software change etc. And I need to come up with a cover and such to be able to wrap the whole thing up into a ...

The baron runs to catch up to the boy with the donkey on his back.

I'm calling this my day one for #inktober  as I did the top panel yesterday. Wish me luck!

My boy you've done it!
Overall I'm very pleased with this page. It's got some more variety, less talking heads. And it was just another page where I felt the comfort both working digitally and frankly doing comics in general. It leaves me encouraged for the next story. 2 pages to go!

Preview isn't coming up, stupid plugins! Trust me, there is a new page up.
So, who got a sneak peek at this week's page yesterday? This is what happens when I get a little ahead and finish the page early, I end up messing up the scheduled posting date. Ah well. So this was kinda fun to do. Both the crazy braying donkey in the first panel and the progressive laughter.
