We just got back from a mid-week stay at CV. We had a 2 bedroom condo with a hot tub and full kitchen. The condo itself and the building it was in were awesome: clearly they had renovated very recently because everything, down to the kitchen supplies, looked brand new. Everything worked the way it was supposed to - we had no issues at all with the unit itself. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen was fairly well equipped for a rental - including a dishwasher. The hot tub was fantastic! Another nice touch: the underground tunnel to get between the waterpark building and the hotel/condo. Very nice in the summer, indispensible in the winter! We did not eat at any of the restaurants. A fellow guest said the buffet was overpriced and his family felt sick afterward. We planned ahead and cooked our meals in the condo - this was a huge money saver. The fun amenities were very basic, but they suited my family's needs perfectly. We had two kids, 9 and 3, and two grandparents, along with 3 of us adults in our 30s. The pools were great for the kids, and my 9 year old did one "big" water slide but stuck to the smaller ones for now. My sister in law hung out and swum and tanned, and we got as much out of the little kids' areas as we could with my 3 year old. Overall, they seem basic for a waterpark - really good variety but definitely not a huge place. The indoor park is a little more tricked out but it's in a compact area so things can get crowded, quickly. The mini golf was also pretty basic - if you are an afficionado, go to Pirate's Cove in downtown Dells, or use the CV course as a warm up. Of course the food and everything else is overpriced, it's Wisconsin Dells (Disney Junior). The sport pool, kids' lazy river and wave pool are all in separate areas - I don't particularly like that layout, but if you need a small activity for a rambunctious preschooler, the kid river is great - they'll jump and splash for an hour without getting overstimulated, and it closes at 8pm, so you can go out, wear them out pre-bedtime, then go back to the room for bath and bed. The noise quotient wasn't real bad - there was a crying baby next door and we could hear it from time to time but overall, the walls weren't paper thin. We'd definitely go back and we feel like two nights and 3 days was the perfect length of time to stay at this resort, unless you have a ton of outside activities planned elsewhere in the Dells. We actually liked being "outside of town" - it was nice to have some distance from the tourist traps of downtown.
