AICE hopes that everyone had a fantastic Passover. We are now five days into the Counting of the Omer: the countdown between the second night of Passover and Shavu'ot. This is to remind us of the link between Passover, which commemorates the Exodus, and Shavu'ot, which commemorates the giving of the Torah. We are reminded that redemption from slavery was not complete until then.

Today, the American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise joins those around the world in remembering the tragic events of 9/11.

"If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate."

We shall never forget those brave men and women who sacrificed everything to save others. Men like Daniel Lewin, the first victim of the attacks, who by accounts likely used his Israeli military training in an attempt to subdue the hijackers on Flight 11.
