Today we are going back into our archives and sharing Episode 48 of Power of Moms Radio.

In this episode, April and Saren share ideas for celebrating Easter in a meaningful, but very simple way.
Deliberate mothers who celebrate Easter most likely want this to be a special time for the whole family. (But wow, all of the options out there for decorations, activities, gifts, and teaching opportunities can feel a bit overwhelming.) Join Saren and April as they discuss ways to make the coming week simple, fun, and beautiful.

Each Friday we will be asking you to share 1 or 2 successes you've had as a mom during the week. Do you have any other helpful phrases or ways of saying no?

"The Exodus is an old story, brimming with metaphors and themes: new beginnings, a release from bondage, a God who works miracles. But the one that always speaks to me as a mother is the one I crunch into with that matzah..."

During Passover, we retell the ancient story of the Exodus. It’s an old story, brimming with metaphors and themes. But the one that always speaks to me as a mother is the one I crunch into with the matzah:When the time comes, you don’t have to be totally prepared. You just take what you have and go.

Self-care is important for everyone, especially moms! Are you guilty of waiting for “someday” to nurture yourself? Today we challenge you to do one thing just for you. Maybe it's dancing in the kitchen, taking a long bubble bath, going for a run, getting a pedicure, or reading a book. Go and take some time for yourself then report back in the comments below!
Without nurturing their own energy, passion, and health--and without setting limits on their own activity--women are useful to no one. Self-care is about controlling your own health and happiness. It means the people in your life receive the best of you rather than what is left of you.
