Jon Rubin, artist and co-founder of Conflict Kitchen, has created a takeout restaurant in Pittsburgh that only sells food from countries the United States is in conflict with.

Each iteration of the project is augmented by events, performances, and discussions that seek to expand the engagement the public has with the culture, politics, and issues at stake within the focus country.

April's Full Fish Moon was beautiful last night. Coastal tribes gave the moon this name because fish swim upstream to spawn this time of year. I am mindful of Sandra Steingraber's presentation in Portland, OR and her book, Living Downstream which has been made into a documentary. Have a look at the trailer.
