10. Spend 5 minutes in the morning writing down things that you have accomplished in your life that you are proud of

This one is simple but not many people do it. 

Get out your journal and write for 5 minutes straight about anything you have accomplished in your life that you are proud of. It can be big or small - all that matters is that it makes you feel proud. Also, it doesn’t matter how old you were when you accomplished it.

So for example, you could write about the time you won the spelling bee right next the item where you sold your first company for a million dollars. You could also list, “I went for a walk yesterday.”

Our minds are so trained to scan the horizon for threats and problems that we rarely take stock of what we have accomplished that makes us proud. 

By doing this first thing in the morning, you can shift your internal state to one of feeling confident and capable. A great way to start the day when you're trying to create a new life, don't you think?

You are literally priming your brain to feel and think, “I have done some awesome things before. I certainly can do some awesome things again now and in the future.”
