Like giant Phidippus species with metallic green chelicerae? (Of course you do - everyone does) You're in luck! Phidippus workmani is a fantastically beautiful salticid found in Florida and has some of the most intense chelicerae I've ever seen!

And don't forget - there's still slot available at the 2013 Bugshot workshop in Belize! If you're interested in macro photography, entomology, or just handing out in awesome places - it's definitely worth checking out: http://myrmecos.net/2013/02/12/a-tropical-insect-photo-safari-with-piotr-naskrecki-thomas-shahan-john-abbott-and-me/

Somewhere in California, a giant Phidippus mystaceus rests in a parking lot.

She'll soon find a new home looming over the front entrance of the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History to (hopefully) lure the public to an exhibit featuring large scale prints of Oklahoma arthropods.

To be specific - I'm having a big exhibition at the museum and if you're interested in entomology at all - check it out February 1st! (If only to see a 20-25ft salticid on a building!)

I've been back from Bugshot 2012 for about a week now and am just now getting around to editing some of the salticid photos I took while down in Florida. This wonderfully fluffy Phidippus regius female (found by a helpful Guillaume Dury) was more than willing to pose for photos from several attendees to the workshop. Given that one of my ultimate goals while in Florida was to find this exact species - I'm grateful that I finally got a chance to photograph one of North America's largest and most beautiful Phidippus species!

The image below is a focus stack of 2 shots taken with a 50mm prime reversed on a set of extension tubes.

Incredipede, the game I've been working on for the past year is nearing completion and will launch relatively soon!

You simply create the skeletal structure and musculature of an organism to create any means of locomotion you'd like to solve the game's puzzles. It's fun, something new, and entirely illustrated by myself in a woodcut print style.

The game was designed and programmed by Colin Northway (Fantastic Contraption) and his wife, Sarah Northway. The sound design was done by the guy who made all the disgustingly squishy sounds for Super Meat Boy - Jordan Fehr. Gross stuff.

Check out the gameplay teaser below and www.Incredipede.com (if it gets back up again) for more info.

Oh, and for Steam users - do whatever it takes to get it noticed in the new Greenlight section: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92701947&searchtext

Go get excited about it on facebook too! http://www.facebook.com/Incredipede
