I think of stealth/dodge builds in Payday like I think of magic in skyrim, energy weapons in fallout, and super civics in racing games. Theres no fun in just waving your hands around and hoping a blue bar doesn't empty before the enemy drops dead. Or just holding up some contraption, hearing a pathetic little "Pew" and then someone dying. There's no feedback, no satisfying thunk of an arrow sticking out of someones sternum. just a tiny little noise and a dead body.
For me there HAS to be satisfaction for me to use a weapon, its half the reason I use snipers in Borderlands. The feeling of popping a single shot on an enemy and landing consistent head shots. And I like the feeling of being a walking tank, soaking up damage and pouring it back out. Stealth/dodge builds don't have that, just running about like a madman with a pistol that has more weight in its attachment than its Austrian made polymer frame.
Unfortunately I cant play death wish because of the build doctrine I follow, and the weapons I use. Walking tanks go against the Deathwish Meta. which dictates move fast, run around bullets, and use the pew pew gun to make the coppers go away. A far cry from the hosing down of law enforcers with a Minigun.
