Yuk Yuk!!! Why did we choose Pok Pok?!? Stay away from this tourist trap. $14.50 for 4 over glazed Wings with a salty after taste. Spicy not even close. A few of the wings were bloody couldn't finish them. Whether they were cook correctly or not doesn't matter I don't eat pink bloody chicken. The single sausage link (Sai Us Samun Phrai) umm hard to taste from the nasty wings. But $12 for one link!!? Ridiculous. Then watch out for your teeth the rinds that are one the side are rock hard. The taste of this place is blah. I had to wash my mouth out to get the nastiness out. I felt like I fell into a tourist trap and mugged by hipsters. They are definitely not looking for repeat business. - So to add to my review what would make this place better. 1. Cook items properly. (and if you make a mistake own up to it don't make excuses) 2.Attitude. (a good one will go far.) - I could over look the over priced, crapy food if they treated you like they wanted you there. In fact I would be ok with being treated like a number if the food really was good. But its not. So Pok Pok.... Fail.

Ate here in august last year and the wait wasnt too bad but the food was terrific. The chicken wings and the coconut rice were the highlight and the casual atmosphere made it a pleasure. Plan on going here later this week.

Most authentic, fresh and delicious Thai food I had outside Thailand. Great vinegar drinks, too!

Pok Pok's wings (aka Ike's Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings) live up to the hype -- they were messy and sticky and packed with glorious flavor. The service, on the other hand, was awkward. My boyfriend and I were visiting Portland for a long weekend, and Pok Pok was our last food stop. We decided to order just the wings to make sure we got to the airport on time. Our server didn't like that. He kept hinting that they didn't allow people to share dishes and that they expected some minimum spend, so I begrudgingly ordered a drinking vinegar (meh). Based on other reviews, it sounds like splitting/sharing hasn't been an issue for other customers, so I'm hoping this was an isolated incident.

The food was incredible. Truly it was. I'm giving it 3 stars for two reasons: 1) The wait is normally very very long. The only reason my fiancee and I went was because we were just strolling by, asked how long the wait was, and were shocked to her it was only 10 minutes as opposed to the 2 hours every time we've asked before. 2) It's so expensive. The plates are meant to be shared and for ~$12 a plate, you'd imagine the portions would be significantly larger. If you have money and don't mind waiting a long time, eat here.

Not like home. I seriously paid too much for something I can make way better at home. Larb phet was tasteless and my bloody marry was.. small and pricey. I was hoping for better quality for the price and small portions. Sad to say the servers took way too long for my check.. safe to say a lot of portlandians like it but I won't be coming back. Guess I'll just stick with cooking Thai at home if I'm craving som thum or larb.
