I am a repeat customer at Chabaar: Beyond Thai Food. It's location is convenient. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The food is beyond amazing! And the owner, Anny, is just delightful. A few menu items that I love: If you love Pho (noodle soup), they have fantastic Pho. The Pad Ki Mao (Drunken Noodle) dish is definitely a favorite. The Kow Soi with it's flavorful curry coconut gravy is amazing. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. There are several menu items that aren't listed on the menu—recommended items by the owner, Anny. Request the pumpkin curry or the Thai eggplant stir-fry, you wont be disappointed. Pepper belly's beware: Items are spiced on a 0-10 level. However, Annie and her staff are very willing to "talk you down" on your spicy level—on a scale from 0-10 they rarely encourage anyone to go any higher than a 1. Anny says if you demand a 2 and she gives it to you and you can't handle it, she will take your picture and post it on her facebook page and make fun of you. Love her sense of humor! Have children that wont eat Thai? My niece and nephew, who are a little picky about what they eat, ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. When their plates came out, I was impressed with how good their food looked. The kids seemed quite pleased with their dinner. Finish up your meal with some of Anny's homemade ice cream. The list of flavors varies but the coconut ice cream is by far my favorite. I also recommend the Honey Lavender or Ginger ice cream—they are quite tasty! If you like cheesecake, Anny also makes a pomegranate cheese cake which is to die for! And while it may seem insignificant, they have the best "after dinner" treat, given out with the restaurant bill. A Guava flavored hard candy not only tastes wonderful but the rich guava fragrance makes you feel like you're on vacation! Chabaar is, by far, one of my most favorite places to dine! I highly recommend it!

I love this place. My friends and I are regulars here. My favorite dish is the curry pot pie--although it takes about 20 minutes to make, so order ahead if you are coming with a group. My other favorite dishes are the yellow curry, panang curry, and drunken noodles (I ask for glass noodles). They also make some lovely exotic ice cream flavors.

We absolutely loved the food! We are big foodies and always looking for something different. What a fabulous breakfast we had, ordering the Thai Fried Eggs (more like an omelette top over veggies) and the Thai Omlette (which tasted and textured like it had tofu in it as well, custard like and silky smooth) The flavors were exquisite, everything seasoned and presented perfectly. The prices soo reasonable for what you get, a real treasure of a find. We very really happy with the food and the presentation. The veggie garden outside was charming. You get a feeling the owner(s) must be really cool people. I wish the owners of the restaurant would call me however, to assist in the decor which does nothing to match the amazing food! Don't be put off by the cluttered, out of date and very poorly decorated place as the food and kind people working there make it so worthwhile. Everything was clean, just not upscale as the food would demand. I think the owners keep prices low by not wasting money on fancy decorating. Even still, the clutter and mismatched hodge podge of things in the restaurant was a shame. Service style is pretty slow, but sooo sweet and friendly so don't be in a hurry, linger, enjoy, it was one of our best experiences in SLC and we go out alot and to very good restaurants. We will likely become regulars. than you Chabaar!

We had their brunch a few weeks ago with my parents, and it was fantastic. The food was fresh and had amazing flavor. He got a waffle and I got the Tea Rose omelette, and it was amazing...and the prices were really good. We're very excited to have found a good brunch place that is open for brunch 7 days a week.

The food is absolutely incredible. Chabaar has become my favorite restaurant, in fact when I dine at other restaurants I am left disappointed. The flavors are so diverse and exotic, the combination is incredible.
