Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid.

I often say there is insufficient humour in contemporary music, this is a nostalgic humour such as comes with age, nevertheless I hope it reaches out to one or two listeners.
Having found a method to make Reaktor sounds glissando I was reminded of the pinball sounds of the past. This isn't a reproduction of the sounds but a recollection of the fun, expectations and sometimes disappointments of the game.
I hope a little of the nostalgia comes through.

Reaktor software given a Doppler effect through using Replika delays.
DnA refers to the main pitch content.

Lorenzo, thanks for posting again on NMH, there is a problem here, I can magnify the image but there is no music link. Can you provide a link?

As I am writing a set of small scale piano sonatas at the moment I am interested in other composers writing compact sonatas, especially if they are post 1950's. Any contributions would be welcomed, they always are anyway!

5th in a group of 8 microsonatas, here based on the HE symmetric sets 202 - 5.
More info on these formations, plus a full list, on hes20.blogspot.co.uk
The fifth microsonata works with the HE symmetric sets 202 - 205. The music emphasises the sets dominant interval (the major 2nd) to give a robust and percussive voice, but the secondary interval the fifth gives the second subject a gentler tone.

The microsonatas explore characteristics within symmetrical formations
(see hes20.blogspot.co.uk). In this case it is the major second (first subject) and 5ths (2nd subject).
