Not sure what some of these jokers who leave reviews get their info, but I LOVE this place. The food never disappoints. The waiters are always quick and courteous. This is a great find for West LA and it has been here for years which is proof that SOME people like it. If you don't like it, don't go back, you were probably not one of their best customers anyway!

Went for my birthday, because we had a TravelZoo voucher for a dinner for two. The value was decent with the voucher, and we enjoyed our appetizers (antipasti and carpaccio) and mains (cioppino). However the service was very bad; our server neglected to make eye contact, greet us, tell us the specials - anything that would have made us feel welcome. This was made worse when we saw the attentive treatment he was giving the table next to us - an older couple also there with a TravelZoo voucher. We will not go back.

Good food but prices are the restaurant they informed later in the evening that the prices shown online were not dinner prices. Though it doesn't say that!

I am the co-host of a Westside marketing professional group called The Inner Circle. We meet at Guido’s Restaurant. It is a group of businessmen and businesswomen and we have between 30-60 in their private room. We love having our affairs at Guido’s. The food is authentic. The service is terrific. They are very respectful of our private group and the valet parking is inexpensive. I recommend Guido’s restaurant. Jeff Nadrich

Look, I'm not sure this place is bad, but it's far from great. I would bet this place was a cool joint at one point; but time and passion have left the building. Over 60's crowd mostly.. Not sure I'll be back soon.

Always gracious charming staff! Elegantly calm comfortable atmosphere, always a great escape from a frenzied day. I don't do pasta, but Guido's salad is out-of-this-world; and the salmon is always excellent.

From the beging service was bad. After more than 5 minutes of waiting we had to find a greeter to acknoweledge we had arrived and would like to be taken to our table. Once seated, menus took another 10 minutes to arrive. It seemed as if we were more of an inconvenience rather than a customer when we asked for drinks. Once served we were not told about any specials but had to ask. The food arrived hot and looked appertizing. Note the word 'looked'. It was completely tasteless. No one seemed to care as no one came by and enquired if everything was allright ! Overall the restaurant and ambience is good but the service, attention and food need a serious makeover. Would certainly NOT return until things have improved.

We were very excited to be going to Guido's Restaurant in LA. The service was impeccably good. Prompt, friendly and helpful. The decor was awesomely masculine and definitely a sight to see. The food however is far from good Italian food. The lasagne was more of a "Mexican inspired" lasagne and nothing like the food that we eat at home or other restaurants. The fettuccine alfredo was pretty good. The stracciatella soup was tasty but had so much spinach in it that it was overwhelming to the broth and pasta. Overall, this Italian food is slightly better than the Olive Garden, but at least with the latter, you know what you're getting.
