“The present isn’t made up of stuff. It’s made up of long days and short years with the people I love. I’m learning to make it count.”
When I remember that life is a series of moments, and those moments aren’t always neat and clutter free, there's a lot I can learn.

When you feel like everything is competing for a place in your heart and your mind and your kitchen—when everything’s cluttered and nothing’s clear—that’s a signal.
When everything feels cluttered and nothing feels clear, it's time to simplify.

I don’t want a busy life where I constantly put off the best and most important things for later and “someday when we retire.” I want to live a full life now.
It seems like we go through seasons where we have more activities on our calendar than we have time for. Here are some ways to reduce the noise.

Because sometimes beautiful typefaces are hard to find.
The Geomanist typeface has a contemporary sans design, clean and elegant, with a combination of geometric shapes and humanistic beat.

Life can get busy. Sometimes the busyness can’t be avoided. Work, family, home ownership, and many other responsibilities are unavoidable. But much of the busyness is of our own making.
The more we try to squeeze into life, the less time we have for ourselves. Here are some reasons we need more downtime.

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” — Brené Brown
It’s one thing if perspective keeps you from sharing your story, it’s another thing if it keeps you from feeling your story.

If I don’t spend time reflecting upon my life, how will I know if I’m becoming the person I want to be?
Don't get swept away by cultural noise; recognize and claim your own voice.

Digitization is a great way to reduce clutter and simplify your life.

But if not done carefully, you can end up trading physical clutter for digital clutter when your computer becomes hoarded with things you don’t need that become a drain on your time and attention.
Sometimes digital clutter can complicate your life just as much as physical clutter. Follow these tips to simplify your digital life and reclaim your focus.

Minimalism is about clarity. When we turn down the noise on the shoulda-woulda-coulda, the musicality of life comes forth. Conversely, when we feel overwhelmed it’s hard to appreciate what’s in front of us.
It takes courage to trust that you have enough, that you are enough. But once you feel and accept that, your life will never be the same.

Great article. An interesting question (or 2) for the day: Does the idea of trusting that you have enough, or that you are enough run the global gammit? A friend of mine and I were discussing the Industrial Revolution and how we (the USA) became this country of competition and consumerism. Other cultures really value and appreciate work/life balance and the importance of family and fun. It seems in the USA that developing and working until all hours of the night are the only things that are highly regarded. Does the amount of money in your bank account really dictate whether or not you are a success? I would have to say, "No." Thanks for sharing.

All too often, we pass by the good things in our life; rushing from one thing to the next, we can easily forget to see how much we already have.
Expressing thanks may be one of the simplest ways to feel better.
