We went to Penn's landing and were looking for a place to eat. I liked the name so much that I didn't even look for another restaurant in that area. The food is great. I'm a vegetarian and I love places that have more attention to vegetarian dishes. The waiter was nice and cool guy. So they have everything to evolve as a great place to eat. All what they need is a little more professionalism. For example, we wanted a specific table and the restaurant was pretty empty on that weekday. The waiter told me that he can't offer me that table because it was a table for 4! Constructive suggestion: Please tell your waiters to be flexible. The American waiter was cool but the Indian waiter was not!. I have worked part time in an Indian restaurant when I was a student. I was taught that customers are always right. Please teach that to your waiters too! Apart from that.....ALL THE BEST!

This restaurant has done the impossible, it made me eat within my limits! Being a vegetarian, I usually have limited options in other places. Even though karma was leaning towards a vegetarian cuisine, the food was simply inedible. The only plus is the staff which is friendly. Much hype was given to the roomali roti, but it was worse than frozen stuff you can pick up in any store. Save yourself a drive and avoid this place.

Fabulous buffet lunch, especially for those who don't eat meat. Delicious dishes that were new to us. The price was reasonable, extremely good value, and the service offered by Danielle and Max was impeccable. Five stars.

The food is great. The service could be a bit better. This is one of the most expensive Indian restaurants in Philly, but the service does not show that. When the restaurant is mostly empty the servers sit at the bar and talk to each other very loudly.

Caveat: Vegetarian review This place serves roomali roti. Enough said. It's a reason enough to trek 15 miles to eat at this place. There's a silver lining to it however. The roomali roti they make is excellent. But if you're from Mumbai (Bombay) you were probably expecting one made of refined white flour (maida). They use whole wheat. So while Karma's version is healthier, it also misses the spot. The dal makhani was good but not worthy of the 'hours of simmering' like the ITC Bukhara hotel. The paneer tikka will not disappoint either. I will revisit this restaurant again to expand my experience of their menu.
