Very good menu. The chef knows how to bring flavors together for excellent dishes. Drinking vinegars are well done for non-drinkers. Blood orange and ginger lime were great. We had a tasting menu featuring entrees with "impossible" meat that were very good including the Tagliatelle pasta. The "impossible" burger was pretty good, but did have a weird after taste and mushy consistency.

I am a wedding coordinator who had a wedding here. All of our guests had a wonderful experience here. With the amazing food, romantic ambiance as well as the excellent services and french style design, our couple had such a memorable biggest day here. Highly recommend!!!

There are no longer tasting menus, nor an extensive menu provided.; though new menu items appear every couple of weeks The restaurant now appears to cater primarily to the pre-theater crowd, to which we belong. We find the food and wine to be excellent, and the service generally very good. If reservations are not available, one can dine in the bar area. I do wish Jardiniere would bring back its tasting menus and more extensive menu.

We ordered 2 salads & 2 appetizers. The beet salad was good. It had fried bread pieces in it, which was okay, but not as cool as it sounds. The escarole salad was fairly large & looked like a giant pile of cole slaw. The dressing wasn't that flavorful & it was the last dish to be finished. Hamachi crudo was good, but not a lot of food. DH said, "Hard to mess that up." We also got a pasta with pork belly. Honestly don't remember that one.

If you're the designated driver (or even if you're not), the drinking vinegars are really good. Those are worth an extra star on their own. The vegan "Impossible" burger is pretty good if you're a carnivore; it's fun to try to tell the difference between that and actual beef. The Wagyu A5 steak is four ounces of marbled beef butter, very tender, but $110? You can find another fantastic steak for less in San Francisco.

It's okay. Yup. Nice ambience, dark mood lighting, swank "leather" booth seating. Service was fine, a tiny bit too formal & stiff, except for the cool guy filling our water glasses.

I felt that I should have liked this place a bit more than I did. I couldn't quite put my finger on why that was until I saw the old photos of the interior, which show it with an earlier bright and light colour scheme. That seems to fit the delicate and delicious food served here much better than the current dark décor. Anyway, the staff were very polite and helpful. Great spot for a pre- or post-show meal.
