Cool surroundings and friendly staff. Nice light and airy place. Food was decidedly average. I had the ham and eggs (from the range). The ham was fine, if a little small. The hash brown and tomatoes just tasted of salt. I ordered the eggs over easy and they arrived practically uncooked. At least half the white was still liquid. I'm a tourist so I could be wrong here but I think over easy shouldn't mean uncooked.

One of the most memorable places from my trip to DC. Staff was very friendly and informative. More importantly, the food was delicious. Ordered way too much for breakfast but that's besides the point. We started off the course with their homemade beignets. Scrumptious. Definitely try their stuffed french toast. My advice - order and share this dish because its way too much for one person. The waffles were airy, soft, but with just enough crisp. Compliment your meal with their french press coffee!

What ana amazing place to eat! Our server was excellent and recommended great things for us. We had to wait a little longer on our reservation and Oscar our sitter went out of the way to give us free appetizers to quench our hunger for waiting. This is some of the greatest service I've ever had! The Mac and Cheese is unique and to die for. I also couldn't get enough of the blue cheese bacon salad was delicious. I definitely recommend it.

Food is fresh and fantastic. Although the chicken pot pie was unorthodox (no pie crust just a biscuit) it tasted fantastic. Their salads are always fresh and tasty. The roasted chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. Their snow pea and cucumber salad is light and healthy. The water is also served in the classic glass milk bottles and cups which really adds to the farm atmosphere. The interior decor is cozy yet modern. This is a GREAT place to bring your coworkers for lunch or your family for dinner. I highly recommend you always make a reservation. The lady looked at me funny when I said I didn't have a reservation around lunch time (I guess they are normally very busy). They got some of our side dishes wrong but the waiter was super nice about it and quickly fixed the problem. Service here is solid.

Cannot stress how good this place is. And to find out all their ingredients and recipes are sourced from local farmers, non-processed & made from scratch makes this spot all the better.

Our experience was lackluster beginning with getting seated to waiting over 20 minutes for our check. It was quite disappointing as the reviews seem to rave about this place. We ordered the beignets, deviled eggs, chicken and waffle and the burger. Burger was over cooked and beyond dry and everything else was unmemorable. Sufficiently disappointing. However, the iced tea was incredible. Wish I would've loved this place but sadly this was not the case with the awful service.

Overall all dishes we tried were pretty good. Service is excellent and helpful. Only downside is its very busy during rushes, so best to ensure you have a reservation in advance, or intentionally come at slower times and they are more easily accommodating to drop ins.

Hi RJ! Thank you for taking the time to share with us your recent experience. I'm thrilled to hear food and service lived up to your expectation! As you said, we urge all guests to try to make a reservation. However, we will always try our best to accommodate all guests! Hope to see you again!

I have dined in this place at pretty regularly when I lived in DC. I moved recently but I still have the enthusiasm to still come here and get my favorite. I used to get their chicken pot pie and the pasta with goat cheese and sweet potato. They were really delicious. I highly recommend those items. Why 4 stars... the restroom...the times that I was there, the faucet water pressure was really weak and the light was minimal. It is a shared restroom. Also, my husband ordered ribeye medium well, he didn't enjoy it. He said it was kind of dry and served well done.

Hi Sharon! Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I'm so glad our chicken pot pipe and goat cheese pasta got you coming back! I am however sadden to hear that your husband's ribeye was not cooked to temperature! In the future, please do not hesitate to let your server know, as we'd love to fix the issue right there, and ensure you leave happy and full. Lastly, I have our management team looking at the bathroom, thank you for alerting us. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience, and please do let us know the next time you're visiting us again, I'll have your chicken pot pie and pasta on stand by :)
