The headline is a bit misleading. The videos he was speaking about came out. There wasn't much too them. Most people gave it a yawn. I don't think the Obama admin. had him assassinated because of the videos that came out.

You're right David, those videos were no big deal. Question is,...after Breitbart's death,....were those even the real videos that he was talking about?

It's a good answer, but the logic is flawed. The leader of the Klu Klux Klan in the United States could ask these same kinds of questions at a Klan rally and would get similar results (all hands raised). Does that mean the KKK isn't radical? Of course they are! A Nazi general could have asked this of a rally of German citizens in 1943. Would that mean the Nazi's weren't radical?

I'm not saying whether or not all Muslims are radical or not. But the logical flow of this argument doesn't stand.

Friendsters: Are you familiar with SXSW? If so - feel free to check out the panel submitted and give it a vote if you think it sounds awesome. "News: Articles? We don’t need no stinkin articles!"

+Patrick O'Sullivan That's why creationism is such a strawman for hacks who can't address real political issues....like our pseudo-democracy based on revised history. So they just say "SANTA ISN'T REAL!" and demand a fucking nobel prize.

Fall-like weather in MN is gorgeous. Exciting craziness as we get ready to relaunch the PRI site on Drupal. Lots of time in Boston with colleagues at The World. Hanging cool.

Why is it that you can go to many metropolitan areas in America and find an opera company that's thriving but a newspaper that's collapsing? One possible answer: subsidies. This roundtable takes on the important question about what's still essential for journalists to do in our new information age. What functions of our society and economy still need the attention of professional journalists because they can't or won't be done any other way? We'll then look hard at possible models for how that work can be financially supported - starting with subsidies, but looking at other big ideas for reinvention as well.
