Life's an Expedition owes a debt of thanks to someone who helped immeasurably over the last nine years: Steve, our mail carrier, who recently passed away. He must have picked up tens of thousands of packages from us--maybe even 100,000--and helped get them started en route to our customers expediently and accurately. He was more than a mailman. He really cared about doing his job well. Without him and his dedication, my craft business wouldn't have been nearly as rewarding. The other day, the mail carriers in our community staged a memorial procession, tracing Steve's route through the neighborhood. We put up a banner in honor of him. Many people put up flags, honoring his time in the US Air Force. Some of us shed tears. Yes, he was that amazing...and worthy of our grief. Rest in Peace, Steve Hicks.
