Cracked in Time, Valley of Fire, NV #landscapephotography
I love Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. The colors there are to fantastic and rival those of the Coyote Buttes in Arizona. And the best thing about Valley of fire is that it is only 45 minutes from Las Vegas giving you an easy access. How was this Photograph created?
Here is an example of monochromatic color scheme. This color scheme is not often used to capture photograph but they do occur in nature. This photograph was taken just at the storm was breaking up over Valley of Fire. I used hyperfocal distance concept to get as close to the foreground object as possible to capture various patterns and textures in the stone.
Monochromatic color schemes often make for subtle artistic photograph. Here is an article about it: http://www.photographybyvarina.com/photography/quick-tips/quick-tips-monochromatic-color-scheme
