The Sacramento Youth Alliance Community Action Team works to empower youth in the Sacramento area so that they have the skills and opportunities to advocate for themselves and reach their maximum potential. In this video you will learn how prepare for meeting with elected officials. Specificaly this video is designed to help those interested in supporting the creation of a Children's Fund in Sacramento.

This video is one in a series of advocacy videos that helps empower young people use thier voice to advocate for the changes that matter most to them.

Oscar, a college freshman who created this video, is a member of the Sacramento Youth Alliance Community Action Team , a coalition of diverse young people ages 16-24, in the Sacramento area, who train, mobilize and organize their peers to work together to increase opportunity and decrease poverty for youth in the Sacramento area.

Jacie, a junior in high School explains why being a youth advocate is so important.
