During Ebony's Women Up Brunch & Honors panel discussion, Myleik Teele, CEO Curl Box helped the audience change its prespective regarding obstacles/ failure. When asked how do you overcome failure and obstacles she replied: " My father once said that your mind doesn't process failure, because you keep going. Have I failed? Yes, but I fail forward. I come up against obstacles, but there are multiple ways to get to my destiny. So by you saying no, I'm still going to get to my destiny, so it doesn't matter. If I say I'm going to get it, I'm going to get it. If you are an obstacle, I don't know you anymore -Goodbye. I will succeed!" Lesson: Change how you allow failure/obstacles to affect your mindset & outcome. Be determined to succeed. #EbonyWomenUp #HiltonCelebrates #SheaMoisture #RYM

Song: "Sweet communion. Sweet communion. God saved me. He set me free. His blood saved my soul. Sweet Communion." Happy Sunday! #ThankYouJesus

"Moses didn’t have a very good self-image. He’d made a terrible mistake early in his career. It was a mistake that drove him into the wilderness and kept him there for 40 years herding someone else’s sheep.
He’d once dreamed of being a deliverer of God’s people, but no more. As far as he was concerned, he was finished...a failure...a flop!
But God didn’t think so. In fact, when God came to Moses in that wilderness, He didn’t ask for Moses’ credentials. He didn’t mention his shady history. He just told him to go see Pharaoh and tell him to let God’s people go.
Moses, however, was still wrestling with his poor self-image. “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” he stammered.
You know what God said in response? He just said, “Certainly, I will be with thee.”
You see, it didn’t matter who Moses was. What mattered was that the living God was with him. The same thing is true for you today. You don’t need a history of successes behind you to answer God’s call. You don’t need a string of spiritual credentials. All you need is the presence of the Lord.
Think about that when the devil tells you you’re a failure, when he says you’ll never be able to do what God has put in your heart to do. Put him in his place. Tell him it doesn’t matter who you are because the living God is with you.
Then dare to follow your dream!" - Gloria Copeland (Exodus 3:14) #GodIsWithYou #GoForIt #YouArentAlone

Every day pray God's word, which are His promises (scriptures/bible verses) over you and your family. Watch God move on your behalf as your life begins to change. I pray as you search God's word you will encounter Him in a fresh and exciting way. May you experience the invigorating power of God's Word. And may you grow closer and feel the tangible love of God. In Jesus Name. Amen ❤ #GodHonorsHisWord #GodsWordIsLifeChanging #GodsWordIsPowerful

Relationship Wednesday: No one is perfect, and we must allow that imperfection in our relationships. By loving a person where they are, flaws and all. Keeping that in mind we must remember we can't date or marry someone's potential because they may choose to never change or achieve that status. So we must be honest with ourselves. Self-check question: if your significant other NEVER changed from who they are today, would you still be happy and content?

Good question. Choose to share things with God in prayer and allow Him to give you the answers you need. Often the opinions of others will cause more confusion than needed insight.
