Kung Fu flicks. B Movie roasts. Retro classics that haven't seen the big screen in decades. The new, the strange, the forgotten, and the relevant. Plus pitchers of brew and pizza for pocket change. Franchise theaters can't compare to this.

Tip #1: Get on their mailing list! (This way you won't miss special screenings and events) Recent renovations capture the historic value while adding comfort and viewing pleasure for all. In addition to seeing great films, you'll walk away with a great experience. There's also a certain feel-good vibe when you help this local-nonprofit succeed!

UPDATE 2015: I have grown to love this place even more over the years and after experiencing what it's like to partake in shows being produced, I love them even more. Great space, great food, great people. The remodel of the inner space and the outer sign has really polished their overall and I couldn't be happier. FIRST REVIEW: I have not been disappointed by this theater yet. They play interesting films and it's getting me out of my box with what I like to go and see. The prices are great and the food is so much better than your typical cineplex. I only wish they had a little more money to make the interior look more utilized. A lot of empty space upstairs. Overall, a great place to go hang out with friends and see something interesting and fun! And catch your favorite TV show with 100s of people.

The theater is romantic and beautiful. The live shows are as much fun as the ever changing films on the marquee.

Very retro, love the ambiance and the PRICE! Great deal and a great experience. I'm a Beaverton native and my partner only recently introduced me to this place and the awesome movie selection; it's a bit of a trek for us but it's still 100% worth the trouble. Plus, the Hollywood District is generally awesome as well; there are countless awesome restaurants literally within a stone's throw of the theater (a great soul food joint shares the building complex) and it's just generally a great place to come for a night out.
