My family and I love this place! The staff is soooo friendly! They are helpful! My kids and I have the best time here! This year we bought a membership and we will absolutely be getting another one next year! Thank you for all the amazing times!

Great place for the kids to get some energy out and learn along the way, just be warned, in my experience the place is always packed. Very tough getting around and having fun with your kid from a parents perspective.

Really neat place to take a kid, but sometimes it's a bit hectic and overcrowded. Lots of interactive areas, special quieter area for toddlers. Some wear and tear showing in places, but pretty clean.

Kids had a great time, but a lot of things were not working or missing pieces. And no one was around to help. I give it 4 stars because I'm thinking it might have to do with the time we got there. It was 3 hours before closing so maybe we will go again but earlier in the day.

This awesome place is unassuming and underrated. Great and fun activities for the kids and families! We got in a free with our museum membership from NYC.

I'm from NYC and I drove to this museum with 4 kids using a Groupon. this was the best children's museum I've ever been to! there's so much for kids to do. I can spend the whole day here! my kids loved it and we will be returning, with our without the Groupon!

We love the Garden State Discovery Museum! They have the best staff and go far beyond typical customer service to make our experiences so much fun for my kids! We have had a few parties there over the years, and they have been fun for all ages. We absolutely love the hands-on exhibits especially the new Cooper exhibit, California Pizza Kitchen, Dinosaurium and Little Discoveries are our favorites. We also love being museum members and we receive discounts in the Discovermore Toy Store-Gift shop and other local businesses.

After seeing some of the negative reviews here (and being skeptical that this could ever stack up to Please Touch), I can vouch that this is such an awesome place for the 8 and under crowd and like it better than PTM. My 20 month old had a ball here - so much to do that we didn't see it all in the 7 hours that we stayed - so good that we completely skipped nap time. Like another reviewer said, it's easier to keep track of your child(ren) because it's all one floor. The rooms are huge with plenty of different things to do in each room (the dinosaur digging exhibit has a playhouse, a faux dinosaur-dig sandbox and more - the farm has a barn with stalls and a loft as well as a farmhouse and pig sty ball pit, etc.). If you have the PTM annual membership, an adult and child will only cost $14.
