It's surprising how many people have had problems with this in the past.

There needs to be someone from Google saying "yes, we got your feedback, and we are working on it, here is our live calendar regarding the status of your issue."
Nine months and this huge usability error has not been fixed

Many great strides have been made in making +Google+ better since the new design began to take effect. This one mobile issue still remains though...

Look at this image below, a screenshot of a post in my stream from +Maurizio Ceravolo giving a great tip about collections in the official Google+ Create community. Can you see where it stops, right before the photo begins?

Well guess what, his post doesn't actually stop there. If you click through, the full post reveals a great deal more content. But because there is no visual indication that the text content continues, we're left thinking that the "tip" being referenced is somehow contained in the image. At which point we're just confused because the image, in and of itself, does not suffice as the tip.

There needs to be a visual marker to indicate more content after the "break" or "fold" or whatever it should be called.

Don't you agree?

I don't relate to this at all, but I feel like I might've in a parallel universe. So, reshared. I guess there is a parallel universe where I haven't reshared this. This universe is not that one.

The relation between Collections, Communities and normal posts

Normal posts are tied to a Google+ user.

Collections are subsets of normal posts by a single Google+ user, that pertain to a specific topic. Google+'s team could've implemented this with tags or hashtags.

Hashtags already exist on Google+, but you can't set a setting so that "only posts from <certain user> with <certain hashtag>" appear in the stream.

Collections offer broader and clearer purpose than hashtags, because the latter can also be the group of posts from ALL users which have that hashtag.

That way, hashtags are like Communities in one way and like Collections in another way.

Communities are groups of posts on a specific topic from multiple users.

Collections are a subset of normal posts from users, which are (in turn) subsets of Communities.
