There is a lot to tell, but too little time or space to tell it. I am a public education advocate. Learning is not a simple matter of inputs equal outputs. What is happening to the brain during the learning process is just as important as the content that is being considered by the learner. Because the education of the imagination is just as vital as other realms of the cognitive domain, I am an art education advocate. I accept no money from anyone. If you are interested in a picture to advocate for public education, you have my permission to use images from the Education Reform Illustrated blog. On the idea of quality: There is such a thing as quality, and then there are qualities of quality. Art education is science education. Art education is a complex job that overlaps with history, engineering, mathematics, linguistics, biology, psychology, chemistry, anthropology, mythology, philosophy, sociology, cognitive science and semiotics. Semiotics is a field of study I am interested in. Semiotics is a way of thinking about how organisms perceive and interpret information and communicate. In semiotics, anything can be a sign. All organisms interpret signs. Words are signs. Words have powerful meaning. Images are signs. Images have powerful meaning. In this blog, I intend to use words and images to communicate and provide understanding of the crime that has been committed against the American People that is corporate education reform.
