Installing Fedora 22 in a VM and I notice that "Beefy" is still alive and well.

Oh, hey Google+
Long time no see.

So +Dean Lisenby, congrats on your Amateur Radio License! I know of two fellow Linux folks I have in my circles who are into Amateur Radio: +Orv Beach and +Eugene Mah -- I thought it might be worth making an intro.

This is running really well for me...Font rendering seems to be better also (at least for GUI Elements). I've always had folders on my bookmarks bar that didn't show up right on my Linux box -- they'd be three dots (...) unless I added empty space at the end of the folder name, and that doesn't happen now.
The chromium team aims to launch¹ the Aura graphics stack on Linux in M35 and they need your help to test it. As you know, Aura is the cross-platform graphics system, and the Aura frontend will replace the current GTK+ frontend.

This should also address long standing issues with GPU memory consumption and GPU rendering performance. Using our own graphics stack enables us to have one OpenGL context per window, instead of one OpenGL context per tab, which should significantly reduce GPU resource consumption.

The use of Aura on desktop Linux is new and not well tested. We are replacing the entire frontend with a new one. We’re asking as many Linux users to opt into the dev channel as possible.
Opt-in right now by typing $ sudo apt-get install google-chrome-unstable in your terminal.

If you stumble upon any issue, please report them at http://crbug.com/new-linux-aura-bug.

Memorable Linux Milestones

My collection of Kindle eBooks is growing...often I pick up eBooks for a few dollars here and there (or even free). The only think I have to read them on now is my phone, and that is not ideal, and neither is using the cloud reader in a web browser on a computer.

Are there any Kindle users out there that care to share their opinion on the different options? I'm thinking about just the regular Kindle, or MAYBE the Paperwhite. Also, is it worth the extra money to get it "without the special offers"? Are the ads really annoying?
