Poor customer service, and a little helpless! I recently opened a retail business in Victoria, and contacted the Mac Pros to support me with the POS system I chose. It seemed easy enough to get the paper work going (about a month and a half before opening day of my business) but the delivery of my hard and software was disappointing. Only 24h hours before the grand opening did they managed to organize the items I had purchased. After voicing my disappointment third parties were blamed (not helpful, and very annoying!). Jay did put a lot of effort into setting everything up as best as we could given the little time we had, but it was clear that most of the work still had to be done after opening the store. Once I payed the full invoice, it was incredibly hard to reach the guy I was working with. Text messages, emails and calls were not answered, and only days later did we receive his replies. We were told that simple requests such as "changing the currency in the system" would not be possible. Together with Light Speed's customer service my staff and I solved the problem within 3 minutes! (This is only one example of misinformation by the Mac Pros.) I am sure the Mac Pros are know a lot about Macs, Iphones, etc. but when it comes to customizing their service to ones special needs, they seem pretty helpless, and rather than finding out and possibly asking for advice, they simply tell you it is not possible. LightSpeed is a great POS system, but if I had to do it again, I would purchase it along with all the hardware one requires online. LightSpeed's customer service hotline is great. The operators are helpful, friendly and patient, and it is free of charge (Mac Pros charge $100/hour).
