And then, the little things that make life lived among Jewish family such a hopeful thing.
Yom sheni, 25 Av 5775. And then there are days like today, filled with blessing. We're in the Old City, on our way to the Kotel. Waiting for our son and grandchildren to catch up, we plan to sit for a moment in the shade, try...

Amen - but it's up to us - it's in our hands - if we fear Hashem we do not need to fear the frightening image of the pot overboiling.....Fear of Hashem indicates appreciation of the immensity of His power to create and obliterate - once we achieve this, we are ready to open our eyes to everything He provides, even though we don't deserve it.  Even following Hashem's ways with genuine zeal, we cannot achieve even so much as a drop in the ocean compared with all His achievements. Once this realization is internalised, we acknowledge that even our potential has been created by Hashem, and can be obliterated by Him. Yet, even though we make many errors, Hashem still lets us live, giving us many opportunities to try to fulfil our potential. So we begin to feel a deep love for His endless patience and kindness...and have faith©Chava bat Miriam

A story was told to illustrate the importance of the night's event -- raising funds for Gush Katif brides. The Gush Katif Kallot (Brides) Fund has so far made weddings for 1,200 brides in these ten years since the Destruction! B'kitzer -- a young man of Gush Katif, who had served his country as a dedicated IDF soldier, was so distraught by the betrayal that was Gush Katif's destruction that he turned his back on the country and moved to Australia. After he met his bride, the two decided that he would have to be brave enough to put his anger and disappointment behind him, and return with her to Israel. When they returned, they were showered with gifts of love and household goods and a stipend to help them to make their wedding and to get started in their marriage. The young man told representatives of the Gush Katif Kallot Fund that the kind attention from them and from donors had saved him. He was whole again, and could look at Israel again with affection. One small gift can do so much...

May Mama's wisdom. Should have paid attention when I was young. I'd be a lot richer now!
Yom revi'i, 23 Sivan 5775. Debt kills. Increasing debt weighs you down, dragging you toward a grave in the End of Hope Cemetery. I think it must be like heroin addiction. In the moment of the "fix," you're flying high, feelin...

Introduction
I am anxious for everyone to get along, starting with the Jews.  Scratch that.  Starting with religious Jews.  Hmmmm...  probably still a lot to strive for.  How about religious Jews in Israel?  In Gush Etzion?  In my yishuv?  How about let's just start with my family.  Okay, guys.  As Abba says, "World peace starts at this table."  Let's get our act together, and bring Moshiach.

In small ways, every day, I try to to do my part to rectify the error in judgment of my zaydies, the meraglim. "See these big grapes? We can make really big wine!"
Bragging rights
I've been a waitress, a disc jockey, a cartoonist, a soldier, a secretary, a teacher, proof-reader, editor... But my favorite jobs are: wife, mother, photographer, artist, writer... friend.
